Zusammenfassung

Strontium 87m ist für Verlaufsuntersuchungen der Frakturheilung und ihrer Komplikationen ein sehr geeignetes Nuklid. Im Verlauf der normalen Frakturheilung treten typische Aktivitätsbilder auf, die sich von denen bei gestörter Frakturheilung unterscheiden Die Interpretation der Szintigramme ist jedoch nur mit genauer Fallkenntnis und gleichzeitiger Beurteilung des aktuellen Röntgenbildes möglich. Bei verzögerter Frakturheilung und nach Pseudarthroseoperationen erlaubt der Scan prognostische Aussagen über den weiteren Verlauf. Vor der Entfernung von Osteosynthesematerial kann das Szintigramm in unklaren Fällen zur Klärung der Frage der abgeschlossenen Frakturheilung beitragen.

Summary

Strontium 87m is a very suitable radioactive isotope for the investigation of fracture healing. In the course of normal fracture healing typical patterns of radioactivity appear which differ from those seen in delayed fracture union. Interpretation of scans is only possible together with knowledge of case history and actual x-ray pictures. In cases of delayed fracture union and after operation of pseudarthrosis the isotope investigation is of prognostic value. Before removing osteosynthesis material the scan may help to decide wether or not fracture union is completed in otherwise doubtful cases.

Résumé

Strontìum 87m est un nuclide très approprié pour l’examen de fractures en voie de guérìson et de leurs complìcations. Au cours d’un processus de guérìson normal apparaissent des images de radìoactivìté typiques que se distínguent de celles dont la guérison est entravée. L’interprétatìon des scintígrammes n’est possible qu’avec une parfaite connaissance de la matìère et des images radíologiques actuelles. En cas de guérison retardée et après des opérations de pseudarthrose, cette investígation ìsotopìque a une grande valeur prognostíque. Avant l’éloìgnement du matéríel d’osthéosynthèse, pour les cas douteux, le scintigramme tranche la question de savoír si la guérìson est ou non effectìve.
