Schlußfolgerungen

Die seltene Diagnose der Colitis cystica profunda ist eine gutartige Erkrankung des Kolons und des Rektums. In der Literatur wurden insgesamt nur 148 Fälle — meistens in Fallpräsentationen — publiziert (1). Die Pathogenese ist umstritten. Es wird aber allgemein eine Autoimmunerkrankung angenommen. Eine Unterteilung in lokale, segmentale und generalisierte Form wird in der amerikanischen Literatur vorgeschlagen. Eine ähnliche histopathologische Veränderung findet sich in der Enteritis cystica profunda, die besonders in der Pädiatrie in seltenen Fällen beobachtet wird (2).
