Modellversuch für ein Holzschalendach

Zusammenfassung

An dem Modell einer Holzschale in Form eines hyperbolischen Paraboloids im Maßstab 1∶7 wurden zwei Belastungsfälle untersucht. Es konnte gezeigt werden, daß im ersten Belastungsfall—alle Kräfte nach unten wirkend— die Schale verhältnismäßig geringe Verformungen aufwies und alle Kräfte einwandfrei aufnehmen konnte. Beim zweiten Belastungsfall—Kräfte teilweise infolge Winddruck und Sog nach oben gerichtet—mußten erhebliche Kräfte und Biegemomente in den Randgliedern aufgenommen werden, insbesondere im Bereich der kritischen EckeD.

Im Himblick auf die endgültige Ausführung der Schale des Kirchendaches kann gesagt werden, daß in der Konstruktion auch gegenüber dem ungünstigen Belastungsfall 2 eine genügende Sicherheit gegen Bruch vorhanden ist, sofern die Pendelstützen und die Auflager A B die auftretenden Kräfte sicher aufnehmen können.

Summary

On the model of a wood shell in the form of a hyperbolic paraboloid scaled 1∶7, two types of stress were investigated. It could be demonstrated that in the first type of stress—all forces acting downwards—the shell showed relatively small deformations and could take up all forces satisfactorily. In the second type of stress—the forces being partly directed upwards, due to wind pressure and suction—substantial forces and bending moments had to be taken up in the marginal members, particularly within the critical corner D.

With respect to the final construction of the shell can be said that in the construction, also in comparison to the unfavourable load conditions mentioned, sufficient safety against rupture is given, as long as the link supports and the bearings A B can safely take up the forces developing.
