Summary

Responses to a questionnaire sent to 96 prominent surgeons of 15 different countries have made it possible to draw certain conclusions regarding the comparative popularity of various methods employed in the surgical management of patients suffering with cancer of the rectum and sigmoid flexure. Details regarding these conclusions have been discussed. A list is provided of the surgeons who responded to the questionnaire and the countries in which they live.
