Summary and Conclusions
The records of 429 patients with colonic or rectal carcinomas were reviewed and, where feasible, a staging system was utilized instead of Dukes’ classification or its modifications. We believe that staging of carcinoma of the colon and rectum is simple, correlates with survival, and offers uniformity.
