Abstract
Quadrupolar interactions in [IR(CN)5]3−, [Ir(CN)5Cl]4− and [Ir(CN)4Cl2]4− paramagnece a complexes in alkali halide host lattices are systematically analysed by ESR spectroscopy. The measured quadrupolar interactions are shown to have no clear correlation to the measured unpaired electron populations.
