Резюме
Целью статьи является показать причины рассеяния результатов палеомагнитных исследований, которые используются для опредепения положений полюсов в геологическом прошлом и для изучения континентчльного дрейфа. Основное внимание уделено недипольным составляющим геомагнитного поля, проявление которых на земной поверхности в некоторых случаях можно было бы считать следствием континентального дрейфа.
