Synchronous adenocarcinoma of the vermiform appendix and the rectosigmoid: Case report and review of the literature

Summary

An unusual case of synchronous invasive adenocarcinomas of the vermiform appendix and rectosigmoid is presented. Gastrografin-enema studies done preoperatively were the keynote in successful single-stage management of this case. The medical literature on this rare combination of carcinomas is reviewed.
