Summary
Premature synostosis of a sagittal suture supplies an absolute indication for operation, becaue of inevitable later complications through chronic pressure in the brain. The results of 47 operations on children are described. Subsequently, only excision of sagittal-suture and formation of two parietal lobes should be carried out. This is a safe method and leads to excellent results.
