Zusammenfassung
Das Schädel-Hirn-Trauma (SHT) im Kindesalter hat nach wie vor schwerwiegende Auswirkungen in bezug auf Mortalität und längerfristige bzw. völlige Erwerbsunfähigkeit. Mortalität und Morbidität hängen vorwiegend von der Qualität der Ersten Hilfe ab. In der folgenden Zusammenstellung wird das Vorgehen am Unfallort und die notfallmäßige Versorgung des Patienten unter Berücksichtigung der besonderen Bedingungen des Kindesalters dargelegt.
Summary
Head injuries in the pediatric age group continues to have a devastating effect in terms of mortality and longterm and permanent disabilities. Mortality and morbidity are mainly depending on the quality of first aid. The following paper describes the management at the location of accident and the emergency treatment of head injured patients considering the special conditions of pediatric age.
