Zusammenfassung

An Hand von 510 Krankengeschichten der letzten 20 Jahre von Frauen, die wegen eines Tumors der Brustdrüse operiert wurden, wird eine Analyse dieses Krankengutes durchgeführt. Es werden die diagnostischen Probleme, vor allem in Hinblick auf eine Verbesserung der Frühdiagnose, diskutiert. Auf Fragen der Morbidität und Behandlung wird kurz eingegangen.

Summary

Between 1953 and 1973 510 women were operated upon for breast tumors. In this paper a detailed analysis of case histories and operative findings is presented. The authors discuss the diagnostic problems and define their views of such methods which may be helpful in obtaining an early diagnosis. A short review regarding morbidity as well as therapy is given.
