Abstract

Several dozens of springs with a total yield of about 500 litres per second emerge from a body of ignimbritic biotite-hypersthene-hornblende dacitevitrophyre-tuff with upwards increasing compactness. These springs are situated almost exactly on a level and emerge from the lowermost parts of subvertical joints in the strongly welded upper part of the ash flow.
