Summary

New generalized data on the technique and results of temperature measurements in 93 deep borcholes of the Crimean Peninsula and 78 borcholes of the Eastern Carpathians are presented. Thermal conductivities of more than 400 available samples of rocks from 40 borcholes have been measured in the laboratory conditions. The value of heat flow has been calculated for 45 points. Schemes of distribution of the geothermal gradient and heat flow have been compiled. The thermal füeld has been subdivided into sections and attemps have been undertaken of interpreting its nature.
