Résumé

On présente les principaux enseignements des recherches en cours dans le réseau des laboratoires des Ponts et Chaussées, portant sur le comportement de la terre végétale pendant les différentes phases du mouvement des terres.

On en déduit quelques recommandations sur les modalités à adopter lors des opérations de décapage, stockage et réutilisation de la terre végétale pour obtenir, après réaménagement d'un site, un sol ayant de bonnes qualités agronomiques.

Abstract

The paper presents the main results achieved from the present researches realized by the French Road Laboratories, concerning the behaviour of the tillable earth during the different steps of earthmoving.

Some advices infered from those results are presented, concerning the desirable procedures for the stripping, the storage and the reutilization of the tillable earth, so as to secure, after the restoration of the site, a soil with good agricultural characteristics.
