Ergebnisse und Aussagewert der Arthroskopie am Kniegelenk

Zusammenfassung

Die Ergebnisse von 228 an der BG-Unfallklinik Frankfurt am Main durchgeführten und dokumentierten Arthroskopien werden ausgewertet. Die Aussagekraft dieser technisch aufwendigen Untersuchungsmethode ist, was Veränderungen des Kniebinnenraumes anbelangt, in der Hand des Geübten wesentlich größer als die der Arthrographie oder der klinischen Diagnostik. So kann die Indikation zur Arthrotomie so streng gestellt werden, daß fast einem Drittel der Patienten die ansonsten erforderliche Probearthrotomie erspart bleibt.

Abstract

The results of 228 arthroscopies, which were performed at the BG-hospital for accidents in Frankfurt/Main are evaluated. This method is technically difficult. In the hands of an expert it gives better and more valuable results than the arthrography or the clinical diagnosis. The arthroscopy allows an exact indication for arthrotomy; the number of probatory arthrotomies could be reduced by one third, compared to previous experiences without the arthroscopy.
