Abstract

On the basis of own experiences the present surgical treatment of injuries to the venous sinus of the brain is described. A fundamental requirement is an exact knowledge of the topographic anatomy of the sinuses, which is outlined in detail. The surgical technic, the different kinds of injuries, their frequency and the prognosis are discussed.
