Zusammenfassung

Frakturen des Wachstumsalters allgemein, auch im Schaftbereich, unterliegen in der Therapie gegenüber gleichen Verletzungen des Erwachsenenalters eigenen Gesetzen. Osteosynthesen sind nur in seltenen Fällen angezeigt. Die Marknagelung ist mit großen Risiken an der Einschlagstelle verbunden und besitzt somit eigentlich bei offenen Wachstumsfugen keine Indikation.

Abstract

The treatment of fractures in growing children, especially shaft fractures, is subject to special rules compared to the treatment of such injuries in adult persons. Osteosynthesis is only rarely indicated. Marrow nailing involves great risks at the point where the nail is driven in. Therefore it is not indicated in case of open epiphyseal cartilages.
