Space separation for prevention of farm fire spread

Abstract

Space separation between farm buildings can be calculated to prevent spread of fire by radiation. The method is based on the size and intensity of the radiating source and the permissible intensity of radiation on adjacent building surfaces. A table of recommended minimum distances for different sizes and types of buildings is presented.
