Kombination von Kunststoff und Gips (Kombigips) in der Frakturbehandlung Combination of plastics and gypsum bandages (Kombigips) in fracture treatment

Zusammenfassung

Eine neue Kunststoff-Gips-Kombination (“Kombigips”), ihre Technik, Anwendung und Wirtschaftlichkeit werden beschrieben. Bei 12 Patienten mit “Kombigips” zeigte sich dieser dem reinen Gipsverband wegen der vorzüglichen Strahlentransparenz des Kunststoffs über dem Frakturbereich in der Beurteilung der Frakturheilung deutlich überlegen. Er ist nahezu ebenso wirtschaftlich wie der reine Gipsverband und wesentlich kostengünstiger als der reine Kunststoffverband.

Abstract

A new model of plaster bandage with combination of gypsum and plastics is presented and its economic use is compared with traditional technics. “Kombigips” in 12 patients was more efficient in staging of fracture healing than traditional plaster bandages, because the X-ray properties of “Kombigips” are more profitable. “Kombigips” is much more cheaper than use of pure plastic bandages and nearly as cheap as use of traditional plaster bandages.
