Lack of correlation of T and B lymphocytes with stage of colorectal carcinoma

  • Published:
Diseases of the Colon & Rectum

Abstract

Total lymphocyte counts and T and B lymphocytes were measured preoperatively in 19 patients with colorectal carcinoma. No correlation between lymphocyte levels and tumor stage was found. It is concluded that enumeration of T and B lymphocytes in adenocarcinoma of the colon or rectum would not be helpful in predicting disease status.
