Резюме

В рамках работы “Сейсмичность Европы и Средиземноморя” руководимой Европейской сейсмологической комиссией, в 1960 г. был составлен каталог землетрясений за нериод 1901–1955 гг. сI 0≧VI. В качестве основы были взяты прежде всего национальные каталоги основных данных, составленные для этой цели в отдельных странах. Собранные данные были использованы для построения как карт очагов мелких землетрясений с максимальными интенсивностямиI 0=VI,I 0=VII,I 0=VIII иI 0=IX–XII, так и карт очагов землетрясений с глубинамиh>60км (см. Рис. 1–5). Карты были подготовлены прежде всего для дискуссии о методике работы, так что до окончательного изготовления карт оказалось необходимым проверить материал и дополнительно провести обжективную классификацию отдельных землетрясений. После окончательного изготовления карт очагов будет начато построение карты сейсмичности и карты сейсмического районирования, подготовка которых сопряжена с решением ряда проблем.
