Abstract

An eigenvalue problem concerning a Fredholm integral equation of second kind, with a symmetric kernel of «closed cycle» is considered. The Rayleigh Ritz procedure and the orthogonal invariants method are applied for determining rigorous bounds for the eigenvalues.
