Abstract

From the latex ofEuphorbia pulcherrima, a new conjugated trienoic fatty acid was isolated and identified as deca-trans-2,trans-4,cis-6-trienoic acid. Four other isomers of this acid were also present as minor components. The acids were esterified with trieterpenols.
