Abstract
The pressure dependence of critical superflow through a small aperture has been studied experimentally: it is shown to yield an activation energy for vortex nucleation quite comparable to that obtained from the temperature dependence. The overall variation is however, weaker than that predicted by the vortex half-ring model, revealing a strong influence of the walls.
