Odd automorphisms of Sylow 2-subgroups of sporadic simple groups

Abstract

The automorphisms of a Sylow 2-subgroup of a sporadic simple group or its automorphism group which have odd order are determined. The description of these odd automorphisms is used by the authors in [11] and [12].
