Zusammenfassung
Zur Messung der Strömungeschwindigkeiten von überschallschnellen Gasströmungen in Windkanälen und Expansionsströmungen eignet sich das Ionen-Flugzeit-Verfahren. Als Informationsträger dienen Ionen, die mit Hilfe eines Elektronenstrahls aus Molekülen der Gasströmung entstehen. Strömungsgeschwindigkeiten von 300 bis 2500 m/s sind unabhängig von Temperatur, Druck und Dichte sehr genau meßbar. Der Dichtebereich reicht von Raumdichte bis in das Gebiet der verdünnten Gase. Das Meßverfahren wurde erprobt in Hyperschalldüsen, Strahlglocken von Satellitentriebwerken, Überschallfreistrahlen verschiedener Gasarten sowie Gasgemischen und Molekularstrahlen hoher Intensität mit und ohne Kondensationseffekten.
