Symmetrical Hemorrhagic Infarction of the Thalamus and Disturbance of microcirculation

Summary

3 cases of symmetrical hemorrhagic infarction of the thalamus without concommitant thrombosis of the sinuses are demonstrated. In capillaries and venoles fibrin thrombi are observed, which are thought to be due to microcirculatory disturbances as they are seen in shock. Clinical symptoms of shock were also observed. Involvement of the brain is a scarcely mentioned indicence in shock caused by disturbances of microcirculation.

Zusammenfassung

Beschreibung von 3 Fällen mit symmetrischer hämorrhagischer Infarzierung im Thalamus bei Fehlen von Thrombosen in der Vena magna Galeni und den Sinus.

Pathogenetisch werden die Befunde auf eine Störung der Mikrozirkulation mit Ausbildung von Fibrinthromben in Capillaren und Venolen zurückgeführt, die auch an den Körperorganen festzustellen waren.

Auch klinisch wurden Schocksymptome beobachtet.

Im Unterschied zu anderen Organen wird eine Mitbeteiligung des Gehirns bei Störung der Mikrozirkulation im Schrifttum noch zu wenig diskutiert.
