Abstract

An integral method of determining the moduli of an elastic medium is examined. The method, based on Somiliani's formula, can be used when overdetermined conditions are specified on the surface of the body, i.e., when the load vectorp and displacement vectoru are given. The coefficients are found from the solution of nonlinear algebraic equations. The proposed approach is generalized in the case of a quasi-homogeneous body.
