Abstract

An experimentally established correlation between the displacement rate of contour and stand-up time of a working without support is proposed as a classification criterion for evaluation of rock stability during its driving. The method makes it possible to distinguish classes of unstable and highly unstable rocks among the diversity of mining-technical conditions in the roadhead in advancing roadway in order to take measures for appropriate support (reinforcement) of the working.
