Summary
The oldest representatives of udoteacean green algae known from the eastern Alps are described from the Paleozoic of Graz (Barrandei Limestones, Eifelian):Litanaia graecensis n. sp., andPseudopaleoporella lummatonensis (Elliott). The algae indicate possible paleobiogeographic relations between the Devonian of Graz and the Rhenohercynian Devonian.
