Summary
The lower limits of the nucleon lifetime obtainable with radiochemical and geochemical methods are discussed. The background rate produced by the cosmic radiation at great depths is evaluated, leading to the result of τ≤2·1030y. To improve this limit it seems necessary to use other methods which, however, are model dependent.

Si discutono i limiti inferiori della vita media del nucleone ottenibili con i metodi radiochimici e geochimici. Si valuta l'effetto del fondo prodotto dai raggi cosmici alle grandi profondità, che pone tale limite a τ≤2·1030y. Altri metodi sembrano poter dare maggiore sensibilità, pur essendo più sensibili alla dipendenza dal modello.

Обсуждаются нижние пределы времени жизни нуклона, получаемые с помощью радиохимического и геохимического методов. Оценивается эффект фонового образования космическим излучением на больших глубинах. Этот эффект приводит к результату τ≤2·1030 лет. Для улучшения этого предела, по-видимому, следует использовать другие методы, которые, однако, зависят от модели.
