An attempt to interpret physically the notion—System of geodetic information

Abstract

The investigation introduces a general model which interprets the information flow in geodetic networks as an exact physical model, independent from the shape of the network, from its size, from the number and quality of points (distance, angle or gravity measurements, etc...). It can be shown that normal equation systems and their covariance matrices (generalized and pseudo-inverses) have unambiguous content. The investigation shows also such characteristics in local adjustments.
