Application of activation analysis to the earth sciences

Résumé

Le domaine de l'analyse par activation et ses applications aux sciences de la terre sont passés en revue. On classe ces applications en fonction de la technique d'approche employée; parmi celles-ci: l'activation aux neutrons thermiques suivie de séparations radio chimiques pour séparer les radioisotopes, l'activation neutronique combinée avec la spectrométrie gamma dans le cas de l'analyse multi-éléments, et d'autres méthodes d'activation. On compare l'exactitude des valeurs de l'analyse par activation dans le cas d'éléments choisis dans W-1, on compare aussi l'analyse par activation avec d'autres méthodes d'analyse de traces dans le cas d'un échantillon lunaire.
