Abstract
The ion exchange equilibrium constants of-sodium and rubidium ions on potassium-zinc-hexacyanoferrate(II) have been determined in batch experiments. The selectivity coefficients of the ion exchanger for mixtures of the alkali ions sodium, rubidium and caesium have been measured and agree very well with the values calculated from the exchange equilibrium constants. This proves the reversibility of the ion exchange process.
