Particle size effects in X-ray absorption analysis: Formulae for size distributions

Abstract

New equations have been derived to describe the dependence of X-ray transmitted intensity on particle size in heterogeneous specimens. The formulae include the effect of size distribution, a problem not covered in earlier theoretical work.
