Abstract
A modified method of isotope dilution analysis is described for the determination of small amounts of dithionic acid (1–10 μg). The conditions for the setting up of the calibration curve are reported. The inactive dithionic acid is labelled with35S compound. After separation by thin layer chromatography on extremely thin layers the activity profiles of the spots are measured. The reduced maximal intensities are plotted against the amount of dithionic acid. The calibration curve is also valid for solutions containing up to 1M of sulphuric acid.
