Operationsprinzip
Ein Teil der Sehne des Musculus extensor carpi radialis longus wird im Bereich seiner Insertion zwischen dem Os metacarpale II und III hindurchgeführt, um die Basis des Os metacarpale I herumgeschlungen und schließlich mit sich selbst an der Eintrittsstelle zwischen den Mittelhandknochen vernäht. Die gesamte Operation kann von dorsal bis in die Tiefe zum Musculus adductor pollicis ausgeführt werden. Ihr Ziel besteht darin, die Stabilität des Daumensattelgelenkes ohne Einschränkung seiner Beweglichkeit wiederherzustellen.
