Operationsprinzip
Bei der Sattelgelenksarthrose subluxiert der erste Mittelhandknochen nach dorsoradial. Ferner entwickelt sich häufig eine fortschreitende Adduktionskontraktur mit kompensatorischer Hyperextension des Metakarpophalangealgelenks. Durch die erstmals von Wilson 1973 [3] beschriebene Exzision eines basalen Knochenkeiles am Os metacarpale I wird die Adduktionsfehlstellung korrigiert.
