The criterion for selecting a thermal imaging system designed to study sea surface

Abstract

A new relation for the signal-to-noise ratio is suggested to assess the efficiency of a thermal imaging system. The new criterion has been shown experimentally to satisfactorily correlate with the probability of identifying thermal anomalies, using the thermal imaging system.
