Summary
The response of a rectangular dock to waves incoming from the sea has been investigated and a thorough theory developed. Certain properties of the involved operators have allowed us to partition the wave number axis into many equal intervals in which the response curve can be studied separately. Thus it has been possible to obtain information about the modes that can be excited in the dock, their amplification and their wave number band width, as a function of the ratio between the length and the width of the dock, and of the length and angle of incidence of the external plane wave.

Si è sviluppata una teoria dettagliata per lo studio della risposta di una darsena rettangolare a onde provenienti dal mare. Certe proprietà degli operatori presenti nella teoria hanno permesso di suddividere l'asse del numero d'onda in tanti intervalli di uguale ampiezza, in cui la curva di risposta può essere studiata separatamente. È stato cosí possibile ottenere informazioni circa i modi che possono essere eccitati nella darsena, la loro amplificazione e la loro larghezza di banda in numero d'onda in funzione del rapporto fra la lunghezza e la larghezza della darsena, e della lunghezza e angolo d'incidenza dell'onda piana esterna.

Развивается теория для изучения отклика прямоугольного дока на волны, приходящие из моря. Некоторые свойства операторов, входящих в теорию, позволяют разделить ось волновых чисел на равные интервалы, внутри которых кривую отклика можно исследовать изолированно. Этот подход позволяет получить информацию о модах, которые могут быть возбуждены в доке, об усилении этих мод и о ширине полосы волновых чисел, в виде функции отношения между длиной и шириной дока и длины и угла падения внешней плоской волны.
