Preliminary measurements of geomagnetic micropulsations at L'Aquila, Italy

Summary

In this paper we present the data acquisition procedure and criteria which have been adopted at the new station for geomagnetic micropulsations at L'Aquila (Italy) and are currently under evaluation. In particular, we are testing some real-time ≪alert≫ algorithms which should be able to identify events which exhibit the main characteristics ofPc 1 micropulsations (f>0.2 Hz) commanding the storage of the corresponding data at the highest sampling rate (16 Hz): the realtime algorithms provide filtered data which are sampled and stored at lower rate. Some preliminary examples of geomagnetic-field fluctuations are also presented.

Riassunto

In questo lavoro si presentano le procedure ed i criteri di acquisizione dati che sono stati adottati presso la nuova stazione per le micropulsazioni del campo geomagnetico a L'Aquila. Attualmente si stanno esaminando alcuni algoritmi di allarme che, lavorando in tempo reale, consentiranno d'identificare automaticamente gli eventi classificabili comePc 1 (f>0.2 Hz). Questi eventi saranno memorizzati a 16 Hz. In assenza di tali eventi, gli algoritmi generano dati filtrati che sono memorizzati a piú bassa frequenza. Si presentano infine alcuni esempi preliminari di fluttuazioni del campo geomagnetico.

В работе описывается процедура получения данных на новой станции для наблюдения геомагнитных микропульсаций на верцине Аквила (Италия). В частности, мы проверяем некоторые алгоритмы ≪тревоги≫ в реальном времени, которые позволили бы идентифицировать события с характеристикамиPc 1 (f>0.2 Гц). Эти события запоминаются с наиболыщей быстротой (16 Гц). Алгоритмы реального времени обеспечивают фильтраци№ данных, которые были записаны с меньщей частотой. Приводятся некоторые предваительные примеры флуктуаций геомагнитного поля.
