Abstract

A method of determining the coordinates of a source of dipole magnetic moment is considered. The initial data are the measured values of the magnetic flux from the source passing through the loops of the primary measuring transducer of the magnetic-measuring system. The requirements imposed on the measuring system are analyzed and recommendations are made on the arrangement of the measuring windings. A definition of the equivalent dipole moment for practical objects is proposed.
