Abstract

The present work follows previous modelling efforts of homogeneous stratified turbulence, using a statistical Eulerian model, with a high level of description of anisotropy, and a kinematic simulation model for computing Lagrangian dispersion properties of turbulence. Here, both approaches are coupled, yielding results for the dispersion of a single passive particle. The first results obtained by our model qualitatively agree well with the one-particle dispersion ones obtained from Large Eddy Simulations of stationary stratified turbulence.
