Abstract
A two-loop model is proposed and examined for the internal static magnetic field in a coil-ferromagnetic rod system. This model fits the previously proposed phenomenological one. Working formulas are derived and examples are given of the static magnetic characteristics of long steel rods as affected by the relative coil length.
