Abstract
A method is presented for the absolute measurement of the activity of the192Ir radionuclide, which has a complex decay scheme, using apparatus of the State primary standard of the unit of activity of radionuclides at the D. I. Mendeleev All-Union Scientific-Research Institute for Metrology (VNIIM). The results are given of international comparisons organized in 1996 by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures with the participation of metrological laboratories from ten countries, and in particular of VNIIM. Also given are the results of a comparison in 1997 with the Electrotechnical Laboratory in Japan.
