Abstract

A new type of polarization instrument is considered and its operating principles are described. By introducing an auxiliary reverse beam it is possible to stabilize the optical phase and modulation depth and, in addition, simultaneously determine the gyrotropic and anisotropic characteristics of an investigated object.
