Abstract
Mathematical models are presented for the error of quantitative chemical analysis procedures. The connection is traced out between the error characteristics and the repeatability, intralaboratory reproducibility, and interlaboratory reproducibility indices of the measurements. Criteria for selecting the error model in developing the procedures are considered.
