Conclusions
-
1.
The distance between bearing connectors in crosscutting machines should be chosen with allowance for their position on the drill rod and the length and angle of inclination of the borehole.
-
2.
Due to its interaction with the sides, in a sloping borehole a drill rod without bearing connectors has a stable free length which much exceeds that of a drill rod in a vertical hole.
-
3.
In drilling boreholes up to 300 mm in diameter in thin coal seams with SBM-3u drilling machines, one can dispense with bearing connectors.
