Experience in the use of the rapid acoustic method to determine the fissuring of ledge rock

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Apparatus working in the audible frequency range can be used in field conditions for rapid flaw detection in ledge rock either in the depth or on the surface.

     
  2. 2.

    The signal can be recorded on magnetic tape and later analyzed by means of mathematical methods for rapid “flaw-detection” and acquisition of information so as to compile an atlas of the fissuring.

     
  3. 3.

    From data obtained by statistical analysis of the signals it is possible to find correlations between the fissuring parameters of the medium and the information in the signal; this will make it possible to estimate the degree of fissuring of the medium.
