A second species ofNesphostylis (Leguminosae) from Asia

Abstract

Nesphostylis is known to be a monotypic African genus, but a second species is found in Burma. This species,N. lanceolata (Graham ex Baker) Ohashi et Tateishi (new combination), has been treated separately asDolichos lanceolatus andVigna repens. Nesphostylis as well asMacrotyloma are considered to be members of the Africa-India group in plant distribution.
